posterboard.ca is owned and operated in Canada. We provide a structured content publishing platform that empowers organizations and individuals to publish announcements, listings, notices, and other content to the public without the complexity of traditional platforms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the posterboard.ca platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or your organization, and agree to comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Description of Services
posterboard.ca provides a structured content publishing platform including:
- A tailored Drupal 11-based content board configured to your specific needs
- Tools to publish, manage, and update structured public content such as announcements, listings, and notices
- Optional AI-powered content creation features (available as a paid add-on)
- Storage for your published content as defined by your selected pricing plan
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time with reasonable notice to active subscribers.
3. Account Registration
To use posterboard.ca you must submit a request through our contact form describing the content you wish to publish. Upon acceptance, we will configure your board and provide you with account credentials. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use posterboard.ca only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with the intent of the platform. You must not publish content that:
- Is false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent
- Infringes any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or malicious code
- Violates any applicable federal, provincial, or local law or regulation
- Harasses, threatens, or discriminates against any individual or group
- Impersonates any person, organization, or entity
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or egregiously breach this policy.
5. Pricing and Payment
posterboard.ca offers the following subscription plans:
- Free Trial: One month free — no credit card required. All basic features included. Cancel anytime during the trial period.
- Basic Plan — $3/month: 1 GB storage, basic features.
- Standard Plan — $8/month: 3 GB storage, expanded tools.
- Premium Plan — $15/month: 6 GB storage, comprehensive features.
- AI Content Creation Add-On: $2/month additional on any paid plan.
All prices are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days written notice to active subscribers.
6. AI Content Creation Features
The optional AI Content Creation Add-On uses third-party AI services to assist in drafting content. By using this feature you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is provided as a draft for your review and editing — you are solely responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, and legality of any content you publish
- You must supply your own API key from the relevant AI provider (such as OpenAI or Anthropic); posterboard.ca does not store or share API keys beyond your own encrypted account
- AI-generated content does not constitute professional, legal, medical, or financial advice
- posterboard.ca makes no guarantees regarding the quality, accuracy, or fitness of AI-generated content for any purpose
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all content you publish on posterboard.ca. By publishing content on our platform, you grant posterboard.ca a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the service.
The posterboard.ca platform, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is the property of posterboard.ca and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our platform without express written permission.
8. Privacy
Your use of posterboard.ca is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. By using our platform you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
posterboard.ca is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, posterboard.ca and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. You may cancel your account through your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms of Use or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases and we may delete your content after a reasonable retention period.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
